Hyderabad: Tollywood actor K Chiranjeevi was wrongly diagnosed COVID positive as a result of a faulty RT-PCR test. The star took to social media to announce that he was not infected by the virus but was wrongly diagnosed.

He announced on tweeter that he went under different tests and the result turns out to be negative. "A group of doctors did three different tests and concluded that I am Covid negative & that the earlier result was due to a faulty RT PCR kit. My heartfelt thanks for the concern, love shown by all of you during this time. Humbled !," Chiranjeevi tweeted.

This comes four days after he was confirmed that he was covid positive. Earlier, Megastar Chiranjeevi tested positive of COVID on November 9. The actor tweeted that he took a test for COVID before resuming 'Acharya' movie shoot as a protocol and unfortunately tested positive.
