Dont believe google, Chilkur temple remains closed: Chief priest

Hyderabad: Chief priest of Chilkur Balaji temple located in the city outskirts, has reiterated that the worship place remains closed. The statement comes after many devotees turned up at the temple following wrong google snippets.

Speaking on the same, Chief priest C S Rangarajan said, "As devotees are aware, Chilkur Balaji Temple had decided not to open for devotees from June 8th. The decision is in contrary to the Union Government's order that has allowed worship places to open following Unlock 1 from Covid19. But following wrong google snippets few devotees turned up for darshan".

"Since 11th of June, a few devotees visited the Chilkur temple but returned disappointed. Some had said that Google shows the temple is open. I request devotees not to believe Google but the 'Panthul' (priest in telugu).

He further added, " Devotees of Chilkur please report on the incorrect information through a "Feedback" button at the bottom right of the featured snippet page of the temple , he requested.
