Hyderabad: An old video of police lathi-charging people for violating the lockdown rules in Maharashtra's Amravati has gone viral on social media with the claim that the incident occurred during the recent one-week lockdown in the district that started on 22 February.
The video was shared with the claim, "With the new lockdown, new trends have started coming from Amravati, Maharashtra, langar offerings have started."

Fact Check:
A reverse image search led to a Twitter post from March 2020. This proves that the video cannot be from the recent lockdown in Amravati.
NewsMeter also found the video on YouTube channels 'Nation Next' and 'Mahasanvad Media' from 2020. The video is from Amravati in Maharashtra's Vidarbha region.
Clearly, the video is not from the recent lockdown as it has been available on the Internet since March 2020 and is an old video of the junta curfew. Hence, the claim is FALSE.
