Big goof up: TDP made no Gazette notification on Amaravati claims Botsa

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Municipal Administration Minister Botsa Satyanarayana said the previous Chandrababu government didn’t even issue a gazette notification on Amaravati capital city. This negligence of the TDP government shows the seriousness and transparency in developing the capital city for Andhra Pradesh.

Speaking to the media here on Saturday, Mr Botsa said: “The Chandrababu Naidu government didn’t notify the capital city through a Gazette. A Gazette notification on the capital city is mandatory. The anomaly has left the state capital without any address and proper authentication.

Everything done by the TDP government was on adhoc basis. The negligence of the TDP government in not issuing a Gazette notification on the capital city shows the non-seriousness of Chandrababu Naidu on Amaravati. Proper Gazette notification would have made the capital city authentic and accurate in tune with the policy of the government.”

Normally all important decisions of the government and its policies are notified through a Gazette for authentication.

“Mr Chandrababu Naidu fled Hyderabad in a tearing hurry to hide his face over the cash for vote case. He declared Amravati as the capital city without waiting for the Sivaramakrishnan Committee report. Further, Chandrababu started acquiring lands by all means. This happened after his close associates had purchased land in the peripheries of the capital city, turning it into a real estate venture.

“All this was done without the mandatory Gazette notification and Chandrababu Naidu dared to lay numerous foundation stones for the proposed capital city. Mr Chandrababu had toured the major capital cities across the world. For this world tour, he used chartered flights spending huge amounts of public money. All the plans had come a cropper as nothing concrete was built and not a single brick was laid but for a handful of temporary structures. The very same Chandrababu Naidu is now engaging paid artistes to criticize the chief minister Mr YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and his government. Mr Chandrababu Naidu has cheated the farmers by not issuing the notification. He also gave a false impression that he is about to build the best capital in the world,” said Mr Botsa.
