Brave police official rewarded for saving life of an elderly man

Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar on Monday appreciated the exemplary courage shown by head constable K Krishnamachary of Shamshabad police station.
On Thursday, the constable risked his life and climbed down a 150-feet-deep abandoned agricultural well to save Chandraiah, who had accidentally fallen into the well. During the four-hour-long operation to bring out Narsimha, Krishnamachary also sustained injuries.
VC Sajjanar, while appreciating Krishnamachary’s efforts, said that every police officer should strive to win the confidence of people by going beyond the call of duty to save their lives.
Krishnamachary was given an appreciation reward in the presence of Shamshabad DCP N Prakash Reddy, ACP Shamshabad S Ashok Kumar and other police officials.
