Complaint lodged against Jagga Reddy for allegedly abusing minister Harish Rao

Hyderabad: A complaint was lodged against Congress MLA from Sangareddy T Jayaprakash Reddy alias Jagga Reddy with the State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) for his comments made against Finance Minister T Harish Rao. The complaint was lodged by the Telangana State Private Employees Association on Tuesday.

Two days ago, Jagga Reddy has made derogatory comments against Harish Rao during an election rally at Sangareddy town on the occasion of the Municipal elections. During the rally, while Jagga Reddy was addressing the crowds, he received a call on his mobile phone. Answering the call, Jagga Reddy became agitated and started abusing Harish Rao. In the conversation with the person on the other side, Jagga Reddy was heard referring to him as ‘Sir’.

Gandham Ramulu, the state president of Telangana State Private Employees Association in his complaint to the SHRC stated that holding such a position, Jagga Reddy making such comments is a violation of the constitution. He appealed to the commission to initiate action against Jagga Reddy.

He further demanded that Jagga Reddy should apologize to Harish Rao and also to the entire state for hurting the sentiments. He also stated that they will not keep quiet if anyone makes such derogatory comments against Harish Rao or Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao or his family members.

Ramulu also warned off protesting in front of Jagga Reddy’s house if he did not withdraw his comments against Harish Rao.
