CRPF ties up with Aditya Mehta Foundation for Divyang Warriors initiative

Hyderabad: The CRPF Divyang Warriors skill development initiative was inaugurated by A.P. Maheshwari, DG, CRPF, Southern sector at the Aditya Mehta Foundation's (AMF) Para-sports Academy and Rehabilitation Centre here on Friday. An MoU between CRPF and AMF was also signed on the occasion.

Meanwhile, there were friendly volleyball and badminton matches between players from both groups.

Later, addressing them, Mr Maheshwari said "Our soldiers go to the border, risk their lives. Some are martyred and some lose their hands and legs. There is pain in them as they feel they have become dependents. But let me assure you all that when a soldier on duty gets injured, it is not just their personal loss but that of the entire nation. I'm thankful to AMF for this wonderful initiative. This is just the beginning and we will support allow of you," he said.

AMF trustee, Shobhu Yarlagadda said, "These para-athletes earn dignity through sport. The process of becoming a para-athlete is not simple. But we bring in those changes. I would like to see India with the best para-athletes, which we hope to achieve by 2024. "
