Drug cartel busted, hashish oil, charas seized from car at Hyderabad’s SR Nagar

Hyderabad: Excise sleuths busted a drug cartel and recovered a large cache of narcotics from a car at SR Nagar in Hyderabad city.

Two members of the gang were arrested. Hashish oil weighing 2.1Kgs and charas weighing 410 grams were seized from the duo

The arrested duo was identified as Kakarparthi Akhil Aditya and Guddati Phani Venkata Durga Krishna Chaitanya, both hailing from Andhra Pradesh and residing at Borabanda in Hyderabad.

Shiva Reddy from Vizag, who supplied the drugs, is absconding. A hunt is also on to nab another member of the racket Bharat Tukral.

Based on a tip-off, the Excise Enforcement team of Hyderabad intercepted a car at SR Nagar in the city. On searching the vehicle, they found the drugs concealed inside. Two persons were taken into custody.

It was found that they procured the drugs from Araku near Vizag in Andhra Pradesh.

It is suspected that this gang is catering to several unemployed youth in Borabanda, Yousufguda and also some of the hostel dwellers at SR Nagar and Ameerpet.

Primary inquiries revealed that some of their clients are from Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills.

Excise sleuths have also seized two I-phones during the operation.
