Man impregnates granddaughter

A retired government teacher allegedly impregnated his teenage granddaughter. The incident took place in Jagtial district of Telangana and came to light when the girl complained that she was not feeling well.

The girl who studies in a government hostel in Jagtial town complained to the hostel staff that she was not feeling well for the past one month and had even missed her menstrual cycles. The worried staff took her to a primary health centre, where doctors informed that she was pregnant.

The girl was handed over to her parents and upon enquiry she confided that her father’s uncle had raped her when she had come home during the vacations.

To settle the matter the girl’s parents called the man and questioned him, but he denied and approached the police alleging threat to his life from the girl’s family. The police who had come to enquire into the matter were stunned with the girl’s admission. Finally, after much thought, the girl lodged a complaint and a case has been registered against the old man.
