Hyderabad: One Journalist, two camera men and one technician working with a regional media organization in Hyderabad have been tested positive for COVID-19. The four are among the 178 new cases reported in the last 24 hours beginning 8 June.
For another straight day, Telangana reported a high number of COVID deaths. Six have died, taking the toll to 148 in the state. While the total positive cases stands at 3920 (minus the cured and discharged).
According to the Medical bulletin issued on June 9th, out of the 178 cases, 143 were from Hyderabad, 15 from Ranga Reddy, 10 from Medchal. While Mahbubnagar, SangaReddy, Medak, reported 2 cases each.
Meanwhile, the state government informed the High Court that, 31,721 COVID test have been conducted in Telangana as on June 2nd. Of the total number, 14,500 samples were collected from Hyderabad.
