Hyderabad armed policeman violates traffic rules six times and goes scot free

Hyderabad: An armed policeman carrying a rifle was spotted talking on his mobile phone while driving near Peddamma Gudi, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad on Sunday.

The vehicle no AP15BL0313 is registered under the name of Kothari Krishna Murthy. Sai Teja, a member of the forum against corruption, tweeted the details of both the vehicles seen in the picture.

Speaking to NewsMeter, Mr Sai Teja said, “As one can see in the picture, the challans are dated from May 2019 to August 2019. Both the people violated various traffic rules like driving in the opposite direction, driving without a helmet or not wearing a helmet, wrong parking in the carriageway, wrong/unauthorised parking, and so on. In three months, they have violated the rules on six occasions.”

Although the challan for the present violation is not generated, they still violated the rules on six occasions.

The rules that both have violated come under Section 177 of the Motor Vehicles Act, and carry a fine of Rs 1,100 for driving in the opposite direction, Rs 100 for driving without helmet, Rs 200 for wrong/unauthorised parking are imposed.

Replying to the tweet, Hyderabad traffic police have asked the date and time of the violation to take the necessary action.
