Hyderabad :The year 2019 was quite the memorable one for actor Regina Cassandra who received rave reviews for her performance in the interrogation thriller Evaru. In a character that saw her play both the goody two shoes and a woman with shades of gray, she excelled much to acclaim. Though she has been part of several films over the years, the film was a comeback of sorts for her in Telugu cinema.

And now, the actress is taking things to the next level, she is all set to play the lead role of an archeologist in an upcoming mystery thriller. The film starring the actor is directed by Caarthick Raju who had earlier helmed Ninnu Veedani Needanu Nene starring Sundeep Kishan, the film  is a bilingual in Telugu and Tamil.The  shooting begins on January 13.

Apparently, Regina is going all out to unleash her daredevil side for the film and has been training in stunts as a part of her preparation for the role. She seems keen to venture  into  adventure and action that will be a key part of the film and wants to do all the stunts herself.

The director announced the film on Twitter earlier today, and posted: “Excited n happy to announce my next, a Tamil Telugu bilingual with the talented @ReginaCassandra to be produced by Raj Sekhar Varma brother for #AppleTreeStudios. Cast / Crew, Title n First look shortly (sic),” he posted.

Regina shared this news and mentioned that she was trying something new in the film. “Exploring uncharted waters has always been on the cards… starting something new with all your blessings.. (sic),” she tweeted.

Produced by Raj Sekhar Varma, the film is being made on the Apple Tree Studios banner. The first look and title of this flick will be announced soon.
