Two minors succumb to dengue in Karimnagar, Sangareddy

Hyderabad: There seems to be no end to cases of dengue with several new cases reported from across Telangana and the toll also rising steadily.

The latest being two dengue-afflicted children, breathed their last in Karimnagar and Sangareddy districts, respectively. They were as V Manasvini (5) from Karimnagar district and Vijender Reddy (9) from Sangareddy district.

The mounting number of deaths is causing heartburn among all families while the administration has come a cropper in addressing the outbreak of the deadly disease.

Despite the intervention of the High Court and its directions to the State Government to take necessary measures to control the spread of the epidemic, nothing is happening on the ground.

Manasvini hailing from Chintakunta village of Kothapalli mandal in Karimnagar district, was diagnosed with dengue three days ago. She was immediately admitted to a private hospital, where after three days of showing signs of recovery, she died on Friday.

Same is the case with Vijender Reddy from Birlapally in Sangareddy district. He died while undergoing treatment at the Zaheerabad government hospital late Friday.

The toll has touched fifty in Telangana.
