Two women stabbed to death over property dispute in Chandrayanagutta

Bodies of the victims Farida Begum and her granddaughter Syju Begum were found in a pool of blood at their home. Police suspect their family member Rehman was involved in the offence. Special teams have been deputed to nab the suspect.
According to sources, Farida Begum along with her granddaughter Syju Begum of Tallakunta were having property dispute with Rehman.
On Thursday night, Rahman allegedly barged into Farida’s house in an inebriated state to discuss property issue. It led to an altercation and Rahman stabbed her with a knife. When Syju came to her rescue, he too stabbed her to death before fleeing from the spot.
On Friday morning, neighbours alerted the police after they found the two women in a pool of blood.
Chandrayanagutta police teams along with clues and dog squads rushed to the spot and started the investigation. The bodies were shifted to Osmania mortuary for postmortem. Farida is survived by two daughters who are studying at Progressive School, Chandrayangutta
Police are also verifying if there was more than one person involved in the murder. Further investigation is underway, they said.
