Vizag TDP MLA’s sons join YSR Congress Party

Visakhapatnam South MLA and city TDP president Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar met Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy at his camp office in Tadepalli, along with his two sons, to admit the latter in YSR Congress Party.

The TDP MLA’s sons -Vasupalli Saket and Vasupalli Surya, have joined the YSR Congress party in the presence of Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy. The CM welcomed them into the party by offering them the party scarf.

Ganesh Kumar had welcomed trifurcation of the capital and supported the YSR Congress government’s plans to make Vizag city as the executive capital of Andhra Pradesh, citing that it would boost the development of all regions in the state.

The TDP MLA had already differed with party president Nara Chandrababu Naidu when the latter opposed the decision to make Vizag as the executive capital. While his sons joined the YSR Congress Party, Ganesh Kumar, like Vamsi and some other MLAs, would remain in the TDP and extend support to the ruling party.Describing Jagan as a dynamic leader, Ganesh Kumar exuded confidence that the state would progress under his leadership. The TDP MLA said that the welfare schemes, which were introduced by Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy have been reaching the people and he also felt that the TDP cannot make any headway in the future.

He said that Jagan is a visionary leader and that the credit for making Vizag the executive capital goes to CM. Further, he also said that many works in his constituency could take a shape only due to the encouragement given by the CM.

He said: “We shall strive to win in the Mayoral elections and present it as a gift to Jagan.”

Vijayasai Reddy said that Vasupalli was happy that his sons joined the YSRCP. Many educated youth are leaving the TDP to join the YSRCP and TDP is almost obliterate in Vizag city, he added.
