Akhilesh has replaced his nephew Tej Pratap Yadav as the SP candidate from Kannauj which was a late nomination and change of mind.

BJP's Lok Sabha candidate is Subrat Pathak, who had defeated SP candidate Dimple Yadav in 2019 Lok Sabha polls.
