Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) chief Prakash Ambedkar announced eight Lok Sabha candidates making it clear that there is no alliance with Maha Vikas Aghadi.

Ambedkar is going to contest from Akola and accused Congress, NCP and Shiv Sena (UBT) of using his outfit to promote dynastic politics which he is resisting.
The VBA candidates are Sanjay Kewat from Bhandara-Gondiya, Hitesh Madavi from Gadchiroli, Rajesh Belle from Chandrapur, Vasant Magar from Buldhana, Prakajkta Pillewan from Amravati, Rajendra Salunkhe from Wardha and Khemsingh Pawar from Yavatmal-Washim.
Maharashtra has 48 Lok Sabha seats, second highest after Uttar Pradesh which has 80 seats.
