Dr. Chiranjeevi inaugurated the International Cancer Day programme at KIMS Hospitals and said cancer should not be viewed as a death sentence.

He said, “If cancer is detected early, it can be treated successfully,” and urged people to seek medical help quickly when symptoms appear.
KIMS CMD Dr. B. Bhaskar Rao said robotic and advanced treatments are now available locally, adding that early diagnosis is critical.
Dr. Madhu Devarasetty said cancer cases are increasing among children and young adults due to genetic and lifestyle factors, and noted low awareness causes late diagnosis.
KIMS has launched a Cancer Fight Support Group, and survivors at the event shared that timely treatment helped them return to normal life.
