A techie couple, Medha Ksheera Sagar from Hubballi and Sangama Das from Bhubaneswar was forced to attend their wedding reception virtually after their IndiGo flight was cancelled on December 2.

They had booked tickets from Bhubaneswar to Hubballi via Bengaluru, but the last-minute cancellation left them stranded in Bhubaneswar.

Several relatives travelling on a different route, Bhubaneswar to Hubballi via Mumbai also couldn’t make it due to disruptions.

At the reception venue in Hubballi, the bride’s parents took the stage while guests interacted with the newlyweds through an online video call.

Guests were taken by surprise as the couple greeted everyone remotely, turning the event into an unplanned virtual celebration caused entirely by the sudden IndiGo cancellation.
