IRCTC will resume the operations of the ‘Golden Chariot Luxury Tourist Train’, a symbol of Karnataka’s cultural opulence, in December.

The train will be offering world-class on-board accommodation with 13 double-bed cabins, 26 twin-bed cabins and one cabin for differently-abled guests.
The train can accommodate up to 80 guests in its 40 cabins.
Fare is Rs 4.53 lakh with 5% GST per passenger.
The train will have 2 restaurants, Ruchi and Nalapak, offering international and local delicacies, and Madira, a bar with curated beverages.
Pride of Karnataka route: Bengaluru → Bandipur → Mysore → Halebidu → Chikmagalur → Hampi → Goa → Bengaluru. This journey will be of 5 nights, 6 days.
Jewels of South route: Bengaluru → Mysore → Kanchipuram → Mahabalipuram → Thanjavur → Chettinad → Cochin → Chertala → Bengaluru . This journey will be of 5 nights, 6 days.
