Kangana Ranaut's directorial debut, Emergency, scheduled to release on Friday, has been postponed due to pending clearance from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

The political period drama, where Ranaut plays former prime minister Indira Gandhi, is also written and co-produced by the actor-politician.
Ranaut announced the delay on X, expressing her disappointment and promising a new release date soon, citing certification issues.
The film faces controversy, particularly from Sikh organizations like the Shiromani Akali Dal, accusing it of misrepresentation.
Legal proceedings are ongoing, with the Bombay High Court refusing urgent relief after the Madhya Pradesh HC directed the CBFC to address objections before certifying the movie.
