The CAR Titans from KIMS Hospitals, Hyderabad, won the ACR Knowledge Bowl Trophy, Gold Medal, and Team Spirit Award, the first-ever Indian team to do so in the event’s 40-year history.

They defeated top institutions like Mayo Clinic, Massachusetts General Hospital, and University of Chicago, marking a milestone for Indian medicine.

The champions include Dr. Sarath Chandramouli Veeravalli, Dr. Mohith (KIMS), and Dr. Ritesh (JIPMER, Puducherry).

Out of 15,000+ delegates and 100+ countries, only 16 teams reached the finals, where the CAR Titans impressed with their mastery of rheumatology and teamwork.

The team will defend their title at ACR 2026 in Orlando, USA. Dr. Sarath called the win “a victory for every Indian rheumatologist.”
