Kriti Sanon became the first Indian celebrity to address the World Health Summit in Berlin as UNFPA India’s Honorary Ambassador for Gender Equality.
In her keynote, she urged global leaders to turn commitments into action and make women’s health a top investment priority.
Sanon noted that every $1 invested in women’s health yields $9 in economic returns, making it both a moral and strategic imperative.
She shared experiences from India on child marriage and healthcare gaps, stressing the need for women to have a voice in health decisions.
The UNFPA-led session featured leaders from across continents. UNFPA India’s Andrea M. Wojnar praised Sanon’s advocacy for amplifying the global call to invest in women’s health.
