Nakul Nath, the lone Congress winner in 17th Lok Sabha elections from Madhya Pradesh filed his nomination from Chhindwara.

Of the 29 Lok Sabha seats in MP, the BJP in 2019 had won 28 seats. Chhindwara was the only seat won by the Congress Party.

Nukul Nath is the son of Kamal Nath, former chief minister of Madhya Pradesh.
