Independent MP Navneet Rana joined BJP and is nominated from Amravati in Maharashtra.

She is the current MP of Amravati whose fabricated documents of obtaining 'Mochi' caste certificate led to the Bombay High Court imposing a fine of Rs 2 lakh.

Former MP Anandrao Adsul, who belongs to Chief Minister Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena criticised this decision of BJP. He was keen to contest but as denied, he has decided to contest independently.
