The Society to Save Rocks will celebrate International Geodiversity Week from October 25-27 at The State Gallery of Art, Madhapur.

Titled “Sentinels of Hyderabad,” the exhibition features works by artist Shaun Heffernan and his students, aligning with UNESCO’s 2024 theme.
The Deccan Rocks, 2500 million years old, are vital to the ecosystem, influencing soil, water tables, and local biodiversity.
The Society promotes rock conservation through rock walks, geoparks, and integrating rocks into urban spaces.
A. V. Ranganath, IPS, and K. Lakshmi, IAS, will inaugurate the exhibition, open to the public from October 26-27, 11 AM to 6 PM.
