Tejasvi Surya, MP for Bangalore South and BJYM National President, became the first Indian public representative to complete the Ironman 70.3 Goa, finishing a 1.9 km swim, 90 km cycle, and 21.1 km run in 8 hours, 27 minutes, and 32 seconds.
Surya dedicated his achievement to India’s athletes, acknowledging their rigorous training and hard work in bringing pride to the nation.
Reflecting on his intense four-month training, Surya emphasized the Ironman race as the ultimate test of endurance, physical, and mental fitness.
Surya credited PM Narendra Modi’s #FitIndia initiative as his inspiration, highlighting the role of fitness in building discipline, confidence, and national pride.
Urging young people to embrace fitness, Surya encouraged them to pursue fitness goals to push boundaries and lead healthier lives.
