Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma inaugurated the 20th Qadir Ali Baig Theatre Festival at The Park Hyderabad, calling theatre “the highest form of education, a mirror reflecting society and nurturing empathy and creativity.”

The event saw the poster release of “Chand Tara,” a film on the legendary Taramati, produced by the Foundation with Telangana Tourism, HMDA, and The Park Hyderabad.
The Governor praised the Foundation for enriching Hyderabad’s culture, describing the festival as “a bridge between India’s artistic past and its dynamic present.”
He honoured Qadir Ali Baig as a visionary who united people through art and lauded Mohammad Ali Baig for carrying forward his father’s legacy with distinction.
Mohammad Ali Baig recalled the Foundation’s first show at Taramati Baradari and announced Chand Tara as a tribute to that journey. The evening featured a musical rendition of King Quli Qutb Shah’s poem “Piya Baaj Pyala Piya Jaye Na.”
