Varun Gandhi did not get Lok Sabha ticket from Pilbhit. He first won this seat in 2009 and again in 2019 polls. In 2014, his mother Maneka Gandhi represented from Philbit.

Maneka Gandhi is contesting from Sultanpur.

Varun Gandhi has been left out as he was critical of Agnipath scheme and the increasing rate of unemployment in the country.
