Whatsapp post help police trace family of missing boy

Vizianagaram: WhatsApp turned saviour for a missing four-year-old boy. The police found the boy wandering alone at Chinna Bazaar (small market) area in Bobbili Town in Vizianagaram district on Tuesday morning. The boy was unable to tell his parents’ name and his locality.

The police led by Inspector of Police E Kesava Rao took the boy to the police station and they offered biscuits and chocolates to the boy to collect the details of his parents. However, the boy failed to tell details of his family and his locality.

The police Officer Kesava Rao clicked the photo of the boy with his mobile phone and took instate messaging service (WhatsApp groups in Bobbili) to trace the boy’s parents.

Noticing the boy’s photo in one of the WhatsApp group, a youngster informed the mother of the boy. The woman immediately rushed to the police station and informed the police that while she was preparing food, her son was playing outside the home and suddenly went missing. The boy came to the market alone.

After seeing his mother in the police station, the boy immediately hugged her and cried a lot. The police reunited the boy with his mother and appealed her to take care of the boy during the Covid-19 lockdown.
