Youth drowns while recording TikTok video

Telangana: It has become frequent of late to hear of youngsters engaging in highly ridiculous and dangerous activities to record TikTok videos, and such efforts have often led to an incredible number of accidents. Following the pattern, a youngster while recording video for the app drowned in a dam in Nizamabad district in Telangana. While the incident occurred two days ago, the body of the youngster, identified as Dinesh, was recovered only today.

Due to recent rains, Kappa Vagu canal at Bheemgal in the district was overflowing, due to which the check dam on village outskirts was filled to the brim. This has attracted the attention of the villagers in an around the area, offering scenic beauty. While many such visitors took their time clicking selfies, Indrapuram Dinesh, along with his two friends, entered the water to make TikTok videos.

However, the flow was strong and pulled Dinesh away, drowning him. His friends had tried to save him, but the tide was too strong for them, and they were saved by the locals who had arrived noticing their struggle. This incident is another proof of how youngsters are endangering their life for vanity stunts.
