Hyderabad: Bringing cheer to unemployed youngsters, YSRCP government has announced another batch of recruitment in Andhra Pradesh. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has decided to fill 1,113 vacant posts in Public Health and Family Welfare Department. The AP government on Saturday notified the recruitment order for mid-level health providers. The department will hire graduates of BSc (Nursing) on a contract basis.

According to the recruitment notification, nursing graduates should apply online before November 29. The age limit is 35 years and five years relaxation for SC and ST candidates. The application amount is Rs 300, and BC, SC and ST candidates are exempt from the fee.

Recruitment will be based on a written test. The online exam will be conducted on December 10, and it will be of three-hour duration. Minimum qualifying marks are 50 per cent for OC candidates, 45 per cent for BC and 40 per cent for SC and ST candidates.

Exam centres are in Visakhapatnam, Rajamahendravaram, Vijayawada, Guntur, Tirupathi and Kurnool. Candidates can download their hall tickets from the website. Along with the hall-ticket, candidates need to bring their original identity card.

The selected candidates will get a salary of Rs 25,000 per month. During the training period, no stipend will be given, according to the notification.

The YSRCP government created a new benchmark in recruitment drive by any state government in the country. The Jagan Mohan-led AP government in last September appointed 1.26 lakh candidates under a new governance initiative of Village and Ward Secretariats. Out of the 1.98 lakh candidates qualified in the written exam, the government selected 126,728 candidates. Of this, 31,640 candidates have been appointed in urban areas. Around 21 lakh candidates applied for several posts notified for Village and Ward Secretariats. Of these, 19.5 lakh candidates took part in the written exam held in September 2019.
