Fact Check: Can 'Eupatorium Perfoliatum 200 CH' cure dengue fever in two days?

Hyderabad: A post about homeopathic medicine 'Eupatorium Perfoliatum 200 CH' is viral on social media. Users claim that it can cure dengue in just two days.
This viral claim comes after Dengue cases surged in Delhi-NCR, UP, and some other states.

"A drug with the ability to eliminate dengue in 48 hours. Please send this important message to a maximum number of people. Pass on this message to those who have low platelets due to dengue or simple fever," reads the English translation of the message.

Fact Check:
The claim is false.
NewsMeter ran a keyword search with the name of the medicine and came across a government website `vikaspedia'. Regarding medicine, it stated that "further research in this area is still being undertaken".
The team found news articles and websites which termed Eupatorium Perfoliatum 200 CH" as one of the drugs for the treatment of dengue fever.

But, none of the websites or articles mentioned that dengue fever can be cured in two days.
Searching further, we found that as per Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organisation (WHO), there is no specific treatment for dengue. Patients need to be treated based on their symptoms.

NewsMeter also reached out to the Indian Medical Association(IMA) and AYUSH to verify the viral post. The fact check shall be updated upon receiving a response.
Hence, the claim is false.
