The claim that Bandi Sanjay wrote a letter to EC requesting the stop of the relief fund to flood victims is FALSE.

Though it is true that following the moral code of conduct the Election Commission has ordered the Telangana government to stop the registration and distribution of relief fund to the flood victims, the claim that BJP state president had written a letter requesting to stop this scheme is false.

Here is the report by Telangana Today:

Telangana State Election Commission (SEC) on Wednesday asked the Principal Secretary, Municipal Administration, and Urban Development, to put on hold the registration and distribution of relief to flood-affected families in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits till the declaration of the GHMC election results.

In an urgent communication addressed to the Principal Secretary, SEC Secretary M. Ashok Kumar asked the government to put on hold the registration and distribution of relief as it was "attracting the Model Code of Conduct" and was "likely to influence the electors".

According to reports in TV9 and Andhrajyothi, Bandi Sanjay has declared that the letter in question is Fake. He clarified that he has not written any such letter to the election commission to stop the flood relief. He told the media on Wednesday that the BJP had refuted the false propaganda made by the TRS leaders that the flood relief had been stopped.

He also announced that he is ready to swear on Bhagyalakshmi (deity) of Charminar to prove that he is innocent.

BJP Telangana has also tweeted that the letter is a part of fake propaganda to mislead the people of Telangana.

Hence, the claim that BJP state president and MP, Bandi Sanjay wrote a letter to Election Commissioner requesting it to stop the relief fund to the Flood victims of Greater Hyderabad is FALSE.
