These civic polls are crucial for the ruling Telangana Rashtriya Samiti (TRS), Bharatiya Janata Party, and the Congress. In the wake of the Elections, some of the leaders are reportedly changing parties. Speculations are rife about leaders changing parties and loyalties.
One such news report published in Andhra Jyothy.com claims that senior Congress leader and former MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy has accepted the invitation to join BJP.
Several other local news media YouTube channels have also speculated that Konda VIshweshwar Reddy is joining BJP.
The claim that Konda Vishweshwar Reddy joined BJP is FALSE.
These reports were refuted by the senior leader. He took to Twitter and rubbished the claims. "I just heard a rumor... I am joining BJP. Yes, it is just a rumor. I have a lot of friends and acquaintances in all parties including TRS, MIM, and BJP," he said.
This news was also published on different websites. Sources said the BJP is also in touch with important leaders in the Congress and other parties. Former MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy of the Congress whose name was doing rounds that he would also join BJP termed it as a rumor, reported Times of India.com
In a report by NTV, Konda Vishweswarareddy issued a clarification that the rumors that he is going to join BJP have been doing rounds since 2016, but it never happened.
