Hyderabad: A social media post is claiming that Indian mountaineer Baljit Kaur died while descending the Annapurna mountain.

āThe 27-year-old woman from Himachal Pradesh has scripted history by becoming the only Indian mountaineer to scale four 8,000-metre peaks in less than a month. The four mountain peaks she has climbed include Mt. Everest (May 22), Mt. Annapurna (April 28), Mt. Kanchenjunga (May 12), and Mt. Lhotse (May 23),ā according to She the People.
Baljeet Kaur belongs to Plasta Panjrol village near Solan in Himachal Pradesh. She went missing on 18 April 2023 above Camp IV while she was descending Mt. Annapurna as she scaled the peak without using supplemental oxygen. Amid the missing reports, netizens declared her dead.
