On April 17, BJP MLA T Raja Singh along with one Joginder Singh Bittu and others carried out the rally without any prior permission obtained from the concerned authorities.

The rally started from the Mangalhat area towards Hanuman Vyamshala, proceeding to Sultan Bazar limits in the meantime when his rally reached Central Gurudwara, Gowliguda, he stopped his procession and addressed a huge gathering.

According to the FIR, his speech influenced the voters by doing wrongful restraint and causing congestion of traffic and also lit the firecrackers in huge crowds and created a public nuisance by violating the orders.

A day before, Raja Singh had posted a video on X claiming that the police had denied him permission at the last minute even though he had submitted his application about 40-42 days before. He claimed that the main procession organised by him from Dhoolpet was denied permission, and wondered to whom the police had granted permission.

Challenging the Hyderabad police, Singh announced that he would go ahead with the Shobha Yatra.
