Hyderabad: In order to praise the doctors, policemen and other essential workers working amid the fear of Covid-19 pandemic, the International Arya Samaj members conducted a yagna from their households.

Co-ordinator of Arya Samaj, AP and Telangana, Dharamteja said that around 10,000 households in both the states participated in the yagna. “Arya Samaj members are spread across 200 countries and all of them participated in the yagna,” he added.

Apart from this, the Arya Samaj members asked the government for permission to perform Maha Yagna and see its impact on reducing the spread of virus.

Dharamteja said, “By performing Agnihotra, we can purify environment and self. This can also kill insects and other disease causing viruses.” However, there is no scientific evidence to this.
