155 gm hashish oil seized, five arrested in Secunderabad

Hyderabad: The excise enforcement team seized 155 gm of hashish oil packed in 31 small plastic containers during search on the Bowenpally-Secunderabad road.

The team took into custody Akaram Ranjeeth Kumar, Kukutla Niteesh Kumar, Challa Sai Kumar Reddy, Seepana Girish Kumar and Sanjay Sharma. The sleuths also seized a car used for the sale and transportation of hashish oil.

During the course of enquiry, it was revealed that the five accused persons were addicted to drugs, ganja and hashish oil. Initially, they used to consume them but gradually, began selling the same for profit.

It was also revealed that two other accused, Sai Reddy and Vikram Sandipeta, who are absconding, are also suppliers of hashish oil to the five arrested.

Sai Reddy and Vikram used to get the hashish oil from Araku and sell 5 gm of the same at Rs 1,500 in small plastic containers. In turn, the five arrested used to sell it for Rs 2,500 to the needy customers at Suchitra, Bowenpally and Malkajgiri areas.

The original case papers, along with the five accused and seized contraband, were handed over to the SHO, prohibition & excise station, Secunderabad, for necessary action.
