28 tested positive for coronavirus in India

Hyderabad: Panic has gripped different parts of the country after 28 patients tested positive for coronavirus.

The Health Minister Harsh Vardhan said, "The total number of cases tested positive is 28 in India, out of which 12 are Indians and rest are Italians."

Earlier today, 15 people admitted to the ITBP (Indo-Tibetian Border Police) quarantine facility were tested positive for the deadly virus. With this, the total number coronavirus positive cases have reached 19 across the country. The patients are being shifted to the government hospitals.

On Monday the Health Ministry said that a Delhi man and a Telangana Techie had been tested positive for the virus. The patients were put in isolation. Later a tourist from Italy was also tested positive for the virus. Last night his wife also tested positive for the virus.

Delhi man, who has been tested positive, had attended the birthday party of his son after returning from Italy. The man is kept in isolation at Safdarjung Hospital. The people who attended the party have been put in isolation. Tests of six guests have turned out to be negative. The hotel in which the party was celebrated is also being sanitized.

Telangana Man, who was tested positive for the virus, is said to be stable. Around 45 people with whom he established contact are being tested. Sources said their results will be out by today.

Telangana has arranged 3000 beds for coronavirus patients. Doctors said the best way to avoid the virus is to wash hands frequently and maintain respiratory hygiene.
