3.75 Cr hawala money caught at Banjara hills, four arrested

Hyderabad: In an extensive operation, the task force of Hyderabad police seized Rs 3.75 crore hawala money and arrested four at Banjara Hills of Hyderabad on 15th September.

The accused have been identified as Eshwar Dileepji Solanki, Harish Ram Bhai Patel, Ajith Singh R Dodiya and Rathod Kanak Singh Natubha, all natives of Gujurat.

On receiving inputs about suspicious movement of two cars in the Banjara hills, the task force sleuths intercepted a Mahindra Scorpio and Hyundai accent and apprehended four. Cops found Rs 3.75 Crore cash in their possession.

On questioning, the four revealed that they were working for one P Vijay & company owned by one Kamlesh Shah. Though the company’s headquarters are located in Mumbai, the owner Mr Shah lives in Ahmedabad and has a branch in Hyderabad, without revealing its operations.

According to the accused, Two person Dinesh and Giri are in-charge for the Hyderabad branch. Out of the four caught, two Ajith Singh and Rathod Kanak work in city outlet.

“Accused Eshwar Dileepji Solanki and Harsha Ram Bhai patel came to Hyderabad in a Mahindra Scorpio to collect cash from Dinesh and Giri. While they were proceeding with cash to solapur, West Zone task force teams intercepted the vehicles. They had no documents to produce, the money has been handed over to the income tax department” said Hyderabad Commissioner of Police Anjani Kumar.
