46 from a house in King Koti quarantined after patient test Corona +Ve

Hyderabad: Tension prevailed at King Koti, in Hyderabad, after a 40-year-old man residing in this area, was tested positive for COVID-19. The man who had attended the Tableeghi Jamaat meeting held in Delhi in the month of March, was traced two days ago and moved to quarantine at Nature Cure hospital in Ameerpet. Along with him, five others who had also travelled with him were also shifted to quarantine. It was further revealed that around 46 persons were residing in the same house where the person who was tested positive was residing. Police and health officials have directed the residents to stay under home quarantine and also appealed them to cooperate for conducting tests and further procedures.

According to sources, the 40-year-old man is residing at Pardah gate in King Koti area. The man along with five others residing in the same building had attended the Tableeghi Jamaat congregation in Delhi and had returned to the city in the third week of March. After Telangana reported six deaths of persons who were tested positive for COVID-19, more than 1,000 persons who have been identified all over the state.

After the man’s samples were tested positive, at least three teams have been rushed to the place to collect samples of all the persons residing in the house. Officials told that only one person has been tested positive and results of five others are awaited.

Samples of other persons residing in the home have been collected and they are directed to be in home quarantine till the results are out. Even if they are negative also, the residents were told to be under home quarantine for 14 days or till further orders. Officials have also stamped all the persons so that they do not step out of the house.
