48 staffers at Raj Bhawan test positive for Coronavirus

Hyderabad: 28 police personnel posted at Raj Bhawan tested positive for the coronavirus on Sunday, July 12th. 10 staff members at the office, along with 10 family members of the staff were also tested positive for the virus.

A total of 395 personnel were tested on July 11th and 12th through RT PCR and Rapid Antigen Tests, out of which 347 were declared negative. The 28 police personnel that were tested, were sent into isolation immediately, and the 20 staff members who had tested positive were admitted in Government Ayurveda Hospital in SR Nagar.

The Governor, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, was also tested on 12th July, but her results came out negative. She later put out a tweet requesting citizens living in red zones or those having contact history, to get tested for the virus.



Member of Parliament from Hyderabad constituency and the president of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Party, Asaduddin Owaisi, also got himself tested for the virus on July 11th at the Government Nizamia General Hospital. He was declared negative.
