Son kills father for PUBG

Hyderabad: Enraged over his father allegedly obstructing him from playing the mobile game 'PUBG’, a 21-year-old youth beheaded him at Siddeshwar Nagar in Kakati village of Belagavi in Karnataka on Monday. The accused Raghuveer Kumbhar also sliced his father Shankar Devappa Kumbhar (61)'s hand and leg using a knife at home. Raghuveer was later arrested.

Inquiries found that Raghuveer, student of a polytechnic, was poor in studies and had failed thrice in his examinations. Besides, he was also addicted to drugs and gaming on the mobile phone, that led to his failures and upsetting his parents.

On Sunday evening, Raghuveer had demanded money for the same game from Shankar, which he denied. An angry Raghuveer created a ruckus in his residence. He even broke the window panes of one of his neighbour's houses on the same night. The neighbours informed the local police, who then caught Raghuveer and shifted him to the police station.

As police were warning Raghuveer that they would initiate stern action if he creates a nuisance for the people around, Shankar also reached the police station and came down heavily on Raghuveer before bringing him home. Early in the morning, Shankar noticed Raghuveer playing on his mobile and snatched it from him.

Raghuveer became furious and pounced on his father. He then latched the door of the room where his mother was sleeping and beheaded his father. He then sliced his limbs, found police officials.
