65-year-old dies of coronavirus in Karnataka: death toll rose to 17 in India

Hyderabad: A 65-year-old coronavirus patient died in Tumakuru of Karnataka. This is the third death in the State due to COVID-19. The patient died around 10.45 a.m. on Friday 27 March. The 3 wives, 16 children of the man are in home quarantine.

The deceased had travelled to Delhi on March 5th by train from Bengaluru. After reaching Delhi on March 7th he stayed at Jamia Masjid in Delhi from March 7 to March 11.

He left Delhi on March 11th and reached Sira, his native place on March 14th. As he developed fever and cought the man visited a doctor at the government hospital in Tumakuru on March 21.

Following this he was admitted to an isolation ward in Tumakuru district government hospital on March 24 and discharged on March 25th at 3am against medical advice. The district administration is tracing the primary and secondary contacts of the patient
