9 killed in Oregon, Ohio in yet another mass shooting in US

Atleast nine including the shooter were �killed �and 16 others �injured in the mass shooting, reportedly occurred outside a club in the Oregon district of Ohio- US �on early Sunday(August 4th�).

The incident �occurred at 1.00 AM and has left the locals in a hysteria. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) �has been roped in to assist the local police.

The first report confirming the shooting came in about 1.00 ( Ohio time ) while the Dayton Police department �that is investigating the case confirmed the occurrence at 1.22 AM and asked the locals to avoid Ohio , �however later clarified �the timing. In their first social media post the Dayton Police said, “ �at 1.00 AM active shooter situation began in Oregon district. The shooter is deceased . There are 9 others also deceased . At least 16 others went to area hospital with injuries”.

Ohio woke up to bloody Sunday, many sent out anxious messages following the incident. Ms. Famille Charron who goes by the twitter handle @familleCharron tweeted , “ My son is a student in Dayton , Cant get him (sleeping I hope) . How can we know whether he is not� in the victims list”.



Scores shared messages �like ‘ stay strong ‘, �The news was trending on twitter on Sunday.� Mayor Whaley has scheduled to hold a press conference at the Ohio Convention Centre Sunday morning.

The police have asked for assistance from the locals in regard to evidence in form of pictures or videos if any one has captured during the mass shooting “Anyone who saw this incident or knows anything about it please call either 937-333-COPS or a hotline 937-225-6217 to assist us with this investigation” Dayton Police said.



Besides , �temporary family assistance centre at the Dayton Convention center, helpline numbers have been set up .

The mass shooting comes hours after another shoot out reported at El Paso – Texas which has left 20 dead.�
