ACB traps TSSPDCL lineman

Hyderabad: P Vijay Bhaskar Reddy, a lineman from Telangana State Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TSSPDCL) has been caught red-handed by Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) for accepting a bribe amount of Rs 4000. The accused belongs to Pothireddypally Section office of TSSPDCL in Sangareddy district.

According to ACB, the officer demanded a bribe amount of Rs 4000 from the complainant Bhanuri Shailesh Reddy to fix new electricity service meters in the newly constructed house belonging to the complainant.

On receiving the complaint, the ACB sleuths laid a trap and asked the complainant to invite the officer to his new house. He was caught by the ACB team as soon as he accepted the phenolphthalein powder-laced cash from the complainant. His both hands and shirt pocket were tested positive.

The bribe amount was recovered from the procession of the officer. The accused officer is arrested and produced before the 1st Additional Special Judge for ACB cases.
