Actor Aravind Swami to play MGR in ‘Thalaivi’

Hyderabad: Be it Bollywood or Tollywood filmmakers always seem to encash on what is trending. Over the last few years, biopics have been the trend and they continue to be trending as of date. Many filmmakers are eyeing biopics as they attract audiences to the theatres easily.

The making of a film on the late actress and politician Jayalalitha has been in the news for sometime. Kangana Ranaut and actor aravind swami has been roped in to play the titular role in the film which has been titled ‘Thalaivi’.

Latest reports is that actor Aravind Swami is set to play the role of Maruthur Gopala Ramachandran aka MGR in the film.

Kangana is currently learning Bharatnatyam for her role in this film as Jayalalitha was a dancer. Photographs from her dance sessions are doing rounds on social media and it looks like she is enjoying her classes by learning a new form of art.

The film shooting will begin in November and it is being directed by A.L Vijay. Written by Vijayendra Prasad, the film will be presented in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages. Vishnu Induri and Shailesh Singh are producing the biopic.
