Actor Varun Tej's upcoming sports drama to take off soon

Hyderabad: Star Varun Tej has been receiving an outpouring of critical praise for his latest crime drama 'Gadhalakonda Ganesh'. In a rugged look with kohl-lined eyes and mass characterization, Varun Tej lived up to audiences' expectations in the Telugu remake of Tamil movie 'Jigarthanda'.

Varun Tej is all set to kickstart work on his upcoming movie. Said to be a sports drama, this yet-to-be-titled project is based on kick-boxing, sources say. Varun Tej, who earned praise for his acting in his latest movie Gadhalakonda Ganesh, took to Twitter to make an important announcement about his upcoming movie a while ago.

Varun Tej shared a picture that features a hand with boxing gloves on, hitting the punching bag. The picture also hints at the formal launch event- 'muhurtham' for the movie has been fixed by the makers. "Allu Aravind Presents #VT10 Muhurtham on 10.10.19", the poster says. This untitled movie will be launched officially tomorrow. The makers of the movie have organized a pooja muhurtham for this movie.

The project will be helmed by debutant Kiran Korrapati, an erstwhile associate of popular director Srinu Vaitla. It is rumoured that Varun Tej trained rigorously for two months for this project. Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty is also said to be playing a significant role in this movie, as per sources. Details on the other actors are expected to be out soon.
