Hyderabad: As Hyderabad is preparing for a new year, drug peddlers are also out with drugs, ready to supply for party revellers. Law enforcement agencies are also gearing up with special teams to tackle the menace. The Excise Enforcement wing of Hyderabad seized three individuals, including a Palestinian and an Omani and seized party drugs from their possession. Daddy from Bengaluru and Dola (alias Oka) were supplying drugs to the duo, officials said.

Officers seized the accused — Saeed Ali from Palestine and Abdurabu from Oman —at Banjara Hills. Inquiries revealed that Saeed Ali came to the city from Syria more than a decade ago on a student visa. However, even after the visa expired, he continued to stay in the city. Initially, he got addicted to drugs and later went on to become a peddler. The State Excise Task Force arrested him in July 2018.

Abdurabu came to Hyderabad five years ago and joined engineering in Holy Mary Engineer College. However, he was detained from studies due to a bad record. Meanwhile, he defrauded one woman in the Old City, and police registered a cheating and harassment case against him. Soon, he became a peddler and started supplying drugs at party places and clubs.

They are selling cocaine at Rs 7,000 per gramme, MDMA at Rs 4,000 per gramme and Ecstasy at Rs 2000 per pill directly and at parties. They were sourcing the stocks from Bengaluru and Goa.

Overall, officers seized eight grammes of cocaine, nine grammes of MDMA and four ecstasy pills from them, along with three mobiles, Rs 30,000 from the sale of drugs, and a bike.
